Welcome to Matthew Cunningham Landscape Design’s new blog and website! The gardens we’ve selected to share highlight eight amazing years of MCLD. The projects exemplify the breadth of our work, and our environmentally distinctive approach is on full display.

We have been working tirelessly to bring you over 500 hundred vibrant photographs and 15 highly detailed full-screen illustrative plans of some of our favorite and most meaningful gardens.

The completely reprogrammed website combines simple interactivity with images that capture the scale and feeling of each of the spaces. Our goal was to create a refined browsing experience that invites visitors to explore our work at their own pace.

Photos switch instantaneously as you glide over the thumbnails, and the black and white plans zoom and launch into full color with a spin of your scroll wheel (or a click of the mouse, a two-finger swipe with a Mac trackpad, or a tap on a smartphone). You can navigate through the gardens by clicking the arrows on either side of the screen.

You will see that our landscapes embrace the complexities of each property and grasp the dynamic rhythms of everyday life. Our gardens are living organisms that evolve over time.

Whether you are a potential or current client, a designer, or just discovered the site, we hope that the experience will inspire you to go out and explore the incredible and rich outdoor world that surrounds us.
