5 Under 40 Design Award Celebration and Charity Auction

I can’t think of a better way to kick off the fall, than to attend an enormous party in your honor with about 500 of New England’s hottest residential designers, builders, and homeowners to celebrate the incredible 5 Under 40 Design Awards presented by New England Home magazine!  As many of you know from my earlier post in April: “Matthew Cunningham Wins 5 Under 40 Award From NEH!!!”, I was among this year’s winners, and am the first landscape architect to receive the honor — the experience has proven to be one of the most incredible ones in my career.  The event held this past week gave each of us the opportunity to publicly thank the judges, sponsors, and the very long lists of those who have supported and contributed to each of our successes.  The champagne was flowing, the h’orderves were delicious, and the party started off with a bang as the rugs we were invited to design with Landry & Arcari were auctioned off.  Nearly $10,000 was raised for Bakarat, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing exemplary basic education for girls and women in the regions where the rugs were made.  Be sure to pick up your copy of the September/October issue of New England Home to read more about my fellow award winners!
