Allie Kim brings to MCLD a passion for creating quality spaces that shape daily life and a natural aptitude for merging design with technical problem-solving. She strives to create beautiful landscapes that reflect the deep connection between people and place while remaining ecologically sensitive and harmonious with the natural environment. Prior to joining MCLD, she gained real-world experience through internships with Reed Hilderbrand, EDGE, and The Collaborative, where she developed her skills across a range of landscape typologies.

In 2025, Allie earned her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University, graduating magna cum laude from the University Honors Program. During her time at the Knowlton School, she served as President of the Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and represented her class as a Student Ambassador. In her senior year, she won “Best in Show” at the Knowlton School’s Spring Design Competition, received an ASLA Merit Award, and was honored with the Knowlton Leadership Award in recognition of her contributions both in and out of the studio.

Outside the studio, Allie draws ongoing inspiration from art and people to inform her design work. Having moved around the country throughout her childhood, she discovered an early appreciation for the power of place. She spends her free time on various creative personal projects and exploring what her new home of New England has to offer.
